Practical Information & Insider Tips

Before you embark on your creative journey at this renowned pottery workshop Orchard Gateway, here is some essential information to ensure a seamless and enjoyable visit.

Reservation Requirements

To guarantee your spot in the studio, advanced booking is strictly required. After securing your admission pass, you must contact the Orchard Gateway branch directly via call or text message at +65 83422381 to reserve your preferred date and time slot. Walk-ins are generally not accommodated due to the personalized nature of the classes and limited pottery wheels.

What to Wear and Bring

Working with clay can be a delightfully messy process! We highly recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing that you do not mind getting a little dusty. Aprons are typically provided by the studio, but it is best to avoid wearing expensive fabrics or long, dangling jewelry. Keep your fingernails relatively short for the best grip and control while shaping your ceramic pieces on the wheel.

Collection of Finished Artworks

Please note that the ceramic process requires time. After you have shaped your cup, bowl, or vase, the piece must undergo drying, trimming, and a final kiln firing process to ensure durability and a beautiful finish. The studio instructors will inform you of the estimated collection date—usually a few weeks after your session—so you can return to pick up your fully glazed, functional masterpiece.
